Heather Keidel Hayes, CASC Vice President, Cloud Services

Heather is the Vice President of Cloud Services for Surgical Information Systems. She leads the SIS Complete Services Team and focuses on implementation methodology, cloud product adoption and end-user training, associate recruiting and training, and development of the Cloud Experience Team. Heather has over 20 years of experience in client service and customer advocacy, with nearly 15 of these years focused on outpatient healthcare IT.

Heather began her career at HealthIS as a Client Advocate and Implementations Specialist. Heather joined SIS through its acquisition of SourceMed, where she led teams of various sizes, providing direction to Managers, Team Leaders, and Specialty Teams that support practice management and EHR applications in use at physician offices, ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), and specialty hospitals.

Heather has worked closely with ASC clients across the country on implementations, training, education, and support. Through these engagements, she has developed a unique and in-depth understanding of their operations and needs.

Heather holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health & Society from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from the Quinnipiac University. She also holds the CASC (Certified Administrator Surgery Center) from the Board of Ambulatory Surgery. While the vast majority of CASC-certified individuals work within an ASC facility or as a consultant, Heather is a part of a unique group of CASC professionals employed by a solutions provider. Heather’s insight into an ASC administrator's day-to-day responsibilities and workflow requirements are highly beneficial in supporting the needs of SIS clients.

Heather regularly contributes to leading industry publications with articles such as 7 Tips for Effectively Managing ASC Billing Processes, 4 Tips for Increasing Surgery Center Revenues, and 7 Things Surgery Center Administrators Need to Know About Information Technology.
