Team Lead, Implementation Consultants
Rick is an RN with over 40 years of experience and has worked at SIS for over 10 years. He has been a project manager as well as an implementation consultant (IC) on the hospital side of SIS and is currently the team lead of the hospital ICs. Rick is a subject matter expert in anesthesia, and he also works on full perioperative implementations. He has successfully been leading the implementations at over 45 hospitals for SIS; he has personally taught more than 500 certified nurse anesthetists and anesthesiologists as well as countless nursing staff. Prior to SIS, Rick worked at a major southeastern academic medical center for eight years in both staff and leadership positions, including the level 1 trauma center, neuro/surgical and burn intensive care units, flight transport team, and the medical intensive care unit. He then spent two years in Saudi Arabia and 3.5 years in Afghanistan working as a military contractor for the U.S. Government, helping develop the military medical health systems of both countries. He holds a bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from DePaul University, a master's degree (MSN-critical care) from the University of Florida, and a post-master's Certificate (nursing informatics) from Duke University.
