Attendees can learn about SIS Charts, hear Ann Geier discuss peer review and benchmarking.
Chicago, IL – October 26, 2017 – Surgical Information Systems (SIS), an industry leader focused on delivering perioperative IT to ASCs and hospitals, will exhibit at the Becker's ASC 24th Annual Meeting in Chicago, October 26 – 28.
The conference is presented by Becker's ASC Review and ASC Communications. It is expected to bring together more than 1,500 surgeons, physician leaders, administrators, and ASC business and clinical leaders to discuss how to improve ASCs and their bottom line; how to manage challenging clinical, business, and financial issues; and more.
Attendees who visit SIS in Booth 43 will learn about how SIS, which now includes leading ASC companies SourceMed and AmkaiSolutions, is supporting ongoing investments in existing product lines and driving new innovations. One such innovation is SIS Charts™, a new solution that will officially launch on Thursday, October 26, at the Becker's ASC meeting.
SIS Charts is an intuitive, web-based clinical documentation solution designed to fit any ASC. It is already in use by several ASCs nationwide, including Michigan's Livonia Outpatient Surgery Center.
"On a busy surgical day, each nurse has 10 to 12 charts to review," said Jennifer Bednarchik, Chief Operating Officer at Livonia. "In the past, I would have multiple nurses huddling at the recovery desk fighting for the same chart to review. Now, with SIS Charts, they quickly go through what they are responsible for, review the documentation, sign off, and they are done for the day. As a result, we are minimizing overtime, the staff is happy, and the charts can be completed on the day of service."
SIS will also showcase its comprehensive solutions and services specifically designed to help surgery providers improve patient outcomes and satisfaction, reduce costs, and drive revenue growth. Solutions include ASC business and clinical management solutions AdvantX®, Vision™, AmkaiOffice™, SIS Analytics™, and the number one rated outpatient ASC EHR, AmkaiCharts™. SIS also offers revenue cycle services and ASC advisory services.
During the conference, SIS Chief Nursing Officer Ann Geier, MS, RN, CNOR, CASC, will participate in the following sessions:
The Peer Review Process for ASCs — Thursday, October 26, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Cost Reduction and Benchmarking – 10 Key Steps to Immediately Improve Profits (Parts 1 & 2) — Thursday, October 26, 2:20 pm – 3:45 pm
