Surgical Information Systems takes top overall ASC Technology Vendor Honors in all four functional areas and 11 key performance indicator categories.
Alpharetta, Georgia - February 07, 2023 - Surgical Information Systems ("SIS"), the industry leader for business and clinical surgical software for hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), announced it has been recognized as the No. 1 overall ASC Technology Vendor for the eighth consecutive year in the Black Book™ Top ASC Software and Services Solutions report.
"Consistently, SIS has been rated the premier ASC technology by all users including clinicians, physicians, nursing, support staff, and administrators. This validates SIS's focus and commitment to serve the comprehensive system demands of ambulatory surgical centers," said Doug Brown, Managing Partner of Black Book Research.
This year’s survey represented 3,167 physicians, clinicians, and administrative staff. To go along with its No. 1 ranking, SIS earned top honors in all four functional subsets:
- Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Analytics and Business Intelligence
- Revenue Cycle and Practice Management
- Interoperability and Communications
Across the four functional areas, Black Book's survey methodology gathers information on 18 operational excellence key performance indicators (KPIs). SIS technology ranked No. 1 in 11 KPI categories:
SIS is the only ASC vendor to score in the top 10% across all 18 key operational performance indicators, with the company earning a total score of 9.50 out of 10. Black Book states that such a score indicates that a vendor has achieved overwhelming client satisfaction, exceeded expectations, and is highly recommended.
“Taking top ASC honors in Black Book for the eighth consecutive year is an ongoing testament to the hard work and dedication of the SIS team to deliver SIS Complete, a comprehensive, cloud-based solution set, to the surgery center market,” said Tom Stampiglia, President and CEO of SIS. “Understanding and supporting the unique requirements of ambulatory surgery centers, particularly for electronic health records, are our focus at SIS. We are proud to receive this prestigious honor and continue to lead the industry in ASC software.”
The Black Book No. 1 ranking is the latest in a series of awards recognizing SIS as a surgical software industry leader and champion of corporate workplace culture. Other recent accolades earned include “Best in KLAS 2023” and “Top Workplace USA 2023.”
